Canton Clay Works, LLC
Tim Skull Canton Clay Works, LLC

This eclectic collection of wares by Tim Skull at Clay Works in Canton, CT are made of stoneware and porcelain fired in a myriad of kilns ranging from Raku to Wood Fired. The majority of the wheel thrown pieces  concentrate on forms emerging from the “Domi Form” (female goddess form).

Currently the artist is exploring the freedom of hand building. His  pots are all one of a kind with unique idiosyncrasies and signatures created from the flames, atmosphere and vapor found in my numerous combustion kilns.

Rising Sun Organic Lawn Programs and Landscaping Services

Rising Sun Organic Lawn Programs and Landscaping Services

Rising Sun Landscaping is a local owner operated company that has been providing quality landscapes in the Farmington Valley and surrounding towns since 2004.  Tim Huk, the owner, has been involved in residential property care in the same areas since 1992.

They specialize in the design, installation, and maintenance of landscapes from a small garden bed to a complete property transformation.  Whether it is just some pruning of overgrown shrubs and some mulch, a few plants and an informal path leading to a sitting area, or a more involved stone wall and patio project, they can work with you to develop a plan that is functional as well as aesthetically pleasing.

They also offer complete lawn renovations and organic fertilization programs.  As a CT NOFA Accredited Organic Land Care Professional, They adhere to strict organic standards and use only materials that are safe for children, pets, pollinators, and water sources.  The owners continue their development in this field through conferences, training workshops, seminars, and ongoing communication with industry leaders.

This popular and highly-regarded local publication is available by subscription only, and is produced in both print and digital formats. In the four print issues that come out each year between March and October (plus a digital-only winter issue), CG covers the spectrum of regionally-relevant garden and ecosystem topics:

  • Individuals, organizations, and businesses;
  • Newsworthy developments in the gardening world.
